Worshiping the false gods.

1. Worshiping the false gods.

"Have you seen him who takes his own desire (Hawa) as his god, and Allah ... has sealed his hearing and his heart, and put a cover on his sight?"Surah Al-Jathiyah (45:23)

"Have you seen the one who takes as his god his own desire? Then would you be responsible for him?"Surah Al-Furqan (25:43)

When a person selectively obeys God only when it aligns with their own wishes, they have essentially demoted God and promoted their Desire to the status of "Master."

2. Person who thinks and prays as if he is rightly guided.

"And indeed, the devils avert them from the way [of guidance] while they think that they are [rightly] guided."Surah Az-Zukhruf (43:37)

3. Selective Preference and Fabrication:

By ignoring the difficult parts of revelation and emphasizing only what feels good, they "invent" a version of Allah that does not exist (fabricating lies against Allah)

"And who is more unjust than one who invents a lie about Allah ... ?"Surah Al-An'am (6:21)

Declaring things lawful (Halal) or unlawful (Haram) based on personal opinion (or substitutated so called experts opinion) rather than scripture, effectively usurping God's role as the Lawgiver.

4. Intention and innocence is not good enough (Guidance is here, Laziness is not acceptable excuse) and Good works are not good enough (without dedication to Correct God)

"Say, 'Shall We tell you of the greatest losers in their deeds? Those whose efforts have been wasted in this life while they thought that they were acquiring good by their works?'"Surah Al-Kahf (18:103-104)

"If you join others in worship with Allah, (then) surely (all) your deeds will be in vain, and you will certainly be among the losers."Surah Az-Zumar (39:65)

 Summary:

ConceptQuranic Stance
Intention (Niyyah)Necessary, but not sufficient on its own.
The Act (Worship)Must be directed solely to Allah to be valid.
ResultWorship of others is Shirk, which nullifies the reward of the deed.
JudgmentAllah is the ultimate judge of who was "ignorant" vs. "arrogant."

Note:

Is uncritical blind acceptance of scholars (without authority), contradicting original intention of Quran and sunnah equivalent to substituted "desire" or false gods?

If we are mislead by some group of people, will they disavow just like Satan will disavow on day of judgement?
