Bismillāh ir‑Raḥmān ir‑Raḥīm

(113:3): And from (wa-min; particle; conjunction/source) the evil (sharri; √Sh-R-R; spark/fragment → harmful force) of darkness (ghāsiqin; √Gh-S-Q; overflowing/darkening → intense night; taf: when the moon sets or darkness thickens) when (iḏā; particle; temporal) it overspreads (waqaba; √W-Q-B; entering a hole/cavity → settling/pervading; uniq: specific to encroaching gloom).
(113:4): And from (wa-min; particle) the evil (sharri; √Sh-R-R; spark/fragment → harm) of the blowers (al-naffāthāti; √N-F-Th; spitting/puffing → practitioners of subtle breath-spells) into (fī; particle; interiority) the knots (al-ʿuqad; √ʿ-Q-D; tying/binding → literal or metaphorical entanglements; ref: Q 5:89).
(113:5): And from (wa-min; particle) the evil (sharri; √Sh-R-R; spark/fragment → harm) of an envier (ḥāsidin; √Ḥ-S-D; peeling/scraping → destructive longing for another's loss) when (iḏā; particle; temporal) he envies (ḥasada; √Ḥ-S-D; acts upon his resentment).
Closure:
∴ Divine protection invoked via the Lord of Light against external gloom, occult whispers, and the corrosive social friction of malignant envy.
ﷺ Prophet taught seeking refuge (Mu'awwidhatayn) cures Labid's knot-magic; recite these to find 'no refuge like them' (Sahih Muslim).
